Originally from Wollongong, Keira Longstaff previously taught at a school near home with similar numbers to that of Deniliquin High School.
Looking for new opportunities, new experiences and a chance to broaden her horizons,
Ms Longstaff set off for Deni High.
“Everybody has been welcoming and friendly since arriving,” she said.
“I’m nervous about seeing everybody outside the school environment though, as this did not happen at my previous location.”
Ms Longstaff finished by saying she hoped to remain in Deniliquin for a long time to come.
Jordan Latter hails from the NSW Hunter Valley region where she attended the University of Newcastle.
She comes to Deniliquin as part of the Graduate Recruitment Program.
Miss Latter completed an internship at a school similar in size to Deni High, although it was predominately filled with students from Year 11 and 12.
Deniliquin’s walking tracks and wildlife have caught the attention of Miss Latter, who said she’s a trivia buff and would love to participate in trivia nights.
Both of the teachers also expressed excitement at the upcoming Deni Ute Muster.
