Re ‘Plane Outrage’, Deniliquin Pastoral Times, November 26.
I am quite dismayed that this article made the front page this week, obviously a week with little news which gives the opportunity for a little council bashing.
Plane trees are well known for their invasive and aggressive root structure, which is causing damage to council infrastructure and adjoining buildings.
Common sense would indicate that the trees would be removed and replanted with a species more suited to that area.
Not rocket science.
The PT should be seen to be concentrating on the big issues affecting our community and not insulting our intelligence with such drivel.
