Larissa Burak was instructed in the instrument and singing while attending the Kiev Conservatorium in Ukraine, where her teacher was renowned professor Serhiy Bashtan.
Larissa is now a vocal teacher at Wagga’s Riverina Conservatorium of Music.
She will perform in Deniliquin on Saturday, March 2, at the South West Music Regional Conservatorium.
Tickets for the evening concert, starting at 6pm, are $20.
Under 18s and Concert Series subscribers can attend for free.
Burak is known for her “exceptional singing voice” and an impressive resume.
In 1993, she was awarded the Ukrainian national laureate in performing arts and soon became one of the nation’s leading performers with international concert performances in France, Germany, Latvia, and Estonia.
Since moving to Australia, she has made recordings with SBS and the ABC (both radio and television) and has appeared at the Sydney Opera House and several festivals and events.
She sang as a soprano for the Sydney Philharmonia Choir and was an invited soloist with the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra in the “Noel!Noel!” concert series.
