The organisation will be attending the Deniliquin Truck Show and Industry Expo, proudly supported by the Rotary Club of Deniliquin.
You’ll find them in the dedicated health hub, as part of an initiative to connect people with much-needed care, spark meaningful conversations and improve physical and mental wellbeing in the industry.
As part of a nationwide program, the Healthy Heads' Road Show is touring logistics hubs and industry events to deliver mental health resources and promote free educational materials tailored to the unique circumstances of those in the heavy vehicle and supply chain sector.
Healthy Heads team members will encourage the use of the free Healthy Heads App, which provides on-the-ground practical mental health and wellbeing resources and links to services to address the specific challenges workers in the transport and logistics sector face.
The program is built on the understanding that long hours, isolation, and high-pressure environments contribute to heightened stress and mental health concerns.
Data suggests that 48 per cent of Australia’s logistics workforce report to having had a mental health condition in the past 12 months, and that the sector is the lowest ranked industry in Australia.
As a not-for-profit foundation dedicated to enhancing wellbeing in Australia’s road transport, warehousing, and logistics industries, Healthy Heads’ suite of resources and training programs include workplace wellbeing plans, delivering evidence-based mental health training, Toolbox Talks, and partnering with organisations like R U OK?.
CEO Naomi Frauenfelder said the roadshow tour is an important step towards advancing mental health awareness in the sector.
“These sessions offer us an invaluable opportunity for us to engage face-to-face with people working in our sector, share vital resources, and foster a supportive community that looks after one another,” she said.
“Our goal is to ensure that mental health is a priority on every job site, and vehicle on the move, breaking down barriers and providing practical tools to support the wellbeing of every individual in this essential industry.”
