That’s one of the catch cries of the NSW Police Force, and is again front of mind as school holidays are now in full swing and Easter approaches.
NSW schools started their two week Easter break yesterday, with Victorians now in their second week of holidays.
And with Deniliquin a known destination for intra and interstate visitors, Murray River Police District Chief Inspector Michael Fuller said additional people and vehicles means there must be a greater focus on safety.
“Deniliquin Police remind motorists to take care on the roads as we are now approaching the Easter Holiday break,” Chief Inspector Fuller said.
“Double demerits will be in place between April 17 and 21.
“Remember if you are on the roads, drive to the conditions, allow more time and take plenty of breaks if going on a long journey and expect a lot of traffic around on the roads.
“Have a great school holiday and Easter break but don’t be a bunny - follow the rules and keep everyone safe.”
