Snake Safe Victoria owner-operator Glenn James said he’s excited to join the three-day event again this year.
“It’s a nice and local event, and it gives us a chance to educate Mitchell Shire,” he said.
“People come from all over Australia to the expo, and it’s just good to be able to connect with people, educate people and I give them an opportunity to get you know to learn about Australia’s native wildlife.”
Over at the food tents you can catch Secret Gardens Catering, who will be hosting demos, including the fan favourite All-Time BBQ Hour.
“The highlight probably is the barbecue hour because I'm looking at 10 different elements to knockout in the hour-and-a-half, so it takes a lot of coordination and effort,” owner and chef Adrian Hensley said.
For any young attendees, he will be joined by his daughter Lila, 13, for some kids’ cooking.
If excitement is what you seek, the new cattle sorting sport, OzSort Team Sorting, will be holding games and demos.
OzSort owner-operator Andrew Nash at the 2024 Seymour Expo.
“It’s a quick, good spectator sport because it’s easy to watch,” owner-operator Andrew Nash said.
“It’s in a confined area, so it’s easy to see what’s going on and to see the exciting moves from the horses, and they’re great athletes.
“We want to have people come along and have a bit of a look and enjoy themselves, and we’re happy to answer any questions anybody has.”
Southern Hemp owner David Brian will be back with his farmer talks to discuss building homes with hemp.
“I do two demonstrations each day which includes a talk, one at 10.30am and the other at 2pm,” Mr Brian.
The Seymour Alternative Farming Expo will be held at Kings Park in Seymour on Friday, April 4, Saturday, April 5 and Sunday, April 6 from 9am to 4pm on all three days.
