The gifts will be packaged and distributed by the team at Homes Out West, to contribute to the Christmas cheer of many in our community.
The live Christmas tree was kindly donated by LHAC member Chantelle Shevels, for the second year in a row, and is on display in the Deniliquin Hospital foyer.
‘‘Chantelle and some helpers have made the tree look beautiful; adding a bit of Christmas joy to the foyer,’’ LHAC chair Lourene Liebenberg said.
‘‘All donations are welcome and will be distributed to the community in partnership with Homes Out West.
‘‘We are thankful for any donations, however we do aim to focus our gifts distributed particularly to children and youth.’’
Gifts can be dropped off at Deniliquin Hospital and placed under the Christmas tree until December 22, which allows a few days for distribution to families.
It is asked that donations be provided unwrapped so Homes Out West can distribute them appropriately, but gift bags are allowed.
‘‘Our community has been so kind in getting on board with this initiative in the past, and we know this year will be no different,’’ Mrs Liebenberg said.
She thanked all of Deniliquin for its support, including the Deniliquin Newsagency for its recent book donations.
