The performance was originally planned to be held in the school’s outdoor amphitheatre, but forced inside the Multi Purpose Centre by the weather.
Music teacher Matt Kiley said the event was driven by the school’s P&C.
“The event was designed to welcome the school community, including new parents and any more people interested in joining the P&C.
“It was a combination of Year 9,10, 11 and 12 music students, drum line and musical students, including those who attend the Wednesday morning group run by local music teacher Shane McGrath.
“This was established a year ago and is their second performance since halfway through last year.
“We also had smaller acts such as Isabelle Pearn and Luke Moorse and Lucy Herberte.”
Mr Kiley said while the weather did deter some of the crowd, those who attended were treated to a brilliant night.
“There was a barbecue, and all the performances were great.
“Everyone who attended was treated to a great night in conjunction with the Year 6 tour night for prospective Year 7 students.
“Due to the rain the numbers were affected. It would have been nice to have a few more people, but overall it was a successful night and we will look at doing it again in the future.”
