Recently Corowa Sergeant Stephen Marshall attended a number of sponsors for last years Inaugural Charity Bowls Day presenting Certificate of Appreciations to all those that supported the day through their sponsorship.
In the next month or so, police will again be approaching the generous business houses of Corowa for sponsorship with the hope that through raffles and participation in excess of last years $4000 can be raised which was donated to the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre.
“Given the success of last year Brad Blanchard from Howlong Bowls and myself and looking to go bigger and better this year, now that we have laid the foundation last year,” Sergeant Marshall said.
Murray River Police District are appealing to all community groups and those who wish to be involved in the day, to “Save the Date” as if it is anything like last years event, it will be a great fun day enjoyed with your local police, other emergency services and community service groups.
