At the recent DIAA, Riverina Dairy won six gold medals in the Haloumi and Blue Cheese categories and 12 silver medals in the fetta, brie, yoghurt, and cream categories.
The company's CEO Franck Beaurain said he was thrilled with the recognition.
“We have seen the opportunity in the retail market to expand our brand into specialty cheeses like blue and brie and for a higher level of cheesemaking smarts in cooking cheeses such as haloumi and fetta,” he said.
“It’s reassuring to see that our hard work is paying off and being recognised. Coles and Woolworths also agree with our products available in stores nationally.”
The results are not only testament to the hard work the processing facility in Albury has achieved but also the quality of the milk from the Riverina Milk dairy in Corowa, which is of the highest standard necessary for quality cheese making.
“It is a fantastic team effort and I thank all of the staff at the Riverina Milk dairy in Corowa and in the Albury processing facility for helping to achieve these excellent results,” Mr Beaurain said.
“We have demonstrated that all Riverina Dairy products are currently very competitive which should promise a bright future.”
Riverina Dairy has been a major supplier of fetta, haloumi, and yoghurt to the food service industry for 17 years.
The dairy farm located just outside of Corowa is one of the largest and most modern dairy operations in Australia.
The company underwent a re-launch in 2020, which coincided with the launch of new fetta products into major supermarket chains.
