Rich River Rod and Custom president Daniel Arnold said it was a terrific time for everyone involved, with the visit to Rochester a particular highlight.
“It was great, and it really exceeded everyone’s expectations. Everybody seemed to have a great time, and now we’re all pretty a little bit tired from such a big weekend,” he said.
“I don’t believe I’ve had any negative feedback. I think that it went over well by the community and it went over really well by the people visiting.”
He said that the time spent in Rochester on Saturday was one of the highlights for everyone. Apparently, of the 340 entrants about 280 visited the town.
“We overflowed our parking area, and we really filled the town, and a lot of our patrons of the Rod Run spent up pretty big down there and helped the community out a fair bit,” Mr Arnold said.
“It was great just to see the smiles on the local Rochy faces down there. When the locals down there came and spoke to us, they were over the moon that people were paying them the attention and respect that they deserve.”
In addition to spending time in Rochester, they had a get-together for entrants only on Friday night and a Family Fun Day for the public on Sunday.
Mr Arnold said they look forward to organising this again when the time comes.
“We’re definitely going to do it again. After a little bit of a break, we’ll start figuring it out and get ready for the next one,” he said.
