Starting the season hot, the Deni Rams senior side is heading into the game with confidence after beating Barooga away from home last week.
But Nathalia also did a job on the Moama Magpies at home, with a 11.7 (73) to 7.6 (48) win.
The result in Nathalia was somewhat of a surprise, considering the consistent strength of Moama.
The Magpies also had a number of signings announced over the preseason, including Aron Burns and Lachie Carmody from Mathoura.
But the Purps were able to put the Magpies to the sword in an eventual four goal win.
Nathalia’s best players in that match up - and expected to be targets for the Rams this week - were Tom Nihill, Clancy Congues, Malcolm Barnes, Liam Evans, Bryce Mann and Ned Nihill.
The Rams were sharp against Barooga.
They are a young and hungry group, with strong leadership and experience at the top end to foster positive results.
Deni won comfortable against the Hawks, 15.10 (100) to 7.5 (47).
Deni’s best were Mick Barnett, Sam Willoughby, Jai Park, Cooper Willoughby, William Henderson and Ben East.
Cooper starred in front of goals with a five-goal contribution, while senior debutant Jai Park kicked three of his own in a strong start to his senior career.
Deni and Nathalia played one another twice in the 2024 home and away season, with the Rams taking the chocolates both times.
But both sides are vastly different this year.
Football and netball action kicks off about 9am, with the senior game from about 2pm at Hardinge St Oval.
