All in the name of raising funds for the Cancer Council, the cars all passed through Echuca and Rochester on their way north as well.
The rally features two local teams - On Angel’s Wings and The Deni Girls.
The journey will continue on up through New South Wales and Queensland before reaching its final destination of Alice Springs this Saturday.
Rovers aerobics
The Deni Rovers netballers changed up their training regime with an aerobics session with Corinne Blight from Limitless Fitness & Nutrition last week.
The squad found new ways to exercise and stay warm while getting in the ‘80s spirit, dressing in fluoro colours with headbands and legwarmers.
It was great inspiration for others to keep moving this winter, whatever way best suits.
The morale booster and new approach to fitness appeared to have worked for the club, with only one Rovers netball side dropping a game on Saturday.
Business Awards help
Deniliquin Business Chamber’s special sessions offering guidance on Business Excellence Awards applications will be held this week.
The first of the hour-long sessions will be tomorrow morning, 8am to 9am at the Crossing Cafe.
Session two is 5.30pm to 6.30pm at the Deniliquin RSL.
The aim of the sessions is to guide potential award applicants through the process and help you understand what the judges are looking for in a submission.
These sessions are open to anyone interested in enhancing their submission for the Business Excellence Awards.
These sessions are open to both first-time entrants or past entrants looking to improve on previous submissions.
Get a cuppa with a cop
The Coffee with a Cop morning is returning to Deni this week.
It’s your chance to meet with local community groups and police officers while having your morning coffee.
It will be held Thursday from 10.30am to 11.30am at Coffee Oasis, at 285 Cressy St, Deniliquin.
Head down and have a chat with members of the Murray River Police District.
