The Deniliquin team, consisting mostly of Deniliquin High School students and supported by local police and the Deniliquin Local Aboriginal Lands Council, set off on the week-long trek yesterday.
After reaching Tocumwal last night, they returned to the starting point in Yarrawonga to repeat the same leg today.
With environmental watering in the Murray Valley National Park, they will then be transported to Picnic Point to continue on to Moama tomorrow.
The first craft will depart at 9.30am.
We’re sure the local team would love to see some people there for support as they continue their journey, or at Moama when they finish day three.

Community Hub Toy Drive
The Deniliquin Community Hub is getting into the spirit of giving this Christmas.
The biggest holiday on the calendar is just around the corner, Christmas, and with it comes the financial stresses of being able to afford the holiday.
The Deniliquin Community Hub is trying to do its bit for families and individuals struggling over the festive season.
The hub will be holding a toy drive in the hope of being able to support these families doing it a little hard this Christmas.
The hub is looking for toys for children aged 1-12, which can be dropped off to 52 Harfleur St, Deniliquin.
The hub opens on a Sunday, from 10am through to 12pm.
Drovers AGM
The Deniliquin Drovers Rugby Union Club will hold its AGM on Wednesday, December 4, at 6:30pm at the Deniliquin RSL Club.
It will take place in the Mountbatten Room and the club have expressed that all are welcome at the meeting.
The Drovers have been in recess since the end of last year’s season.
They did not field teams this year and are wanting to mount a comeback in 2025.
This potential reformation of the union club, as well as the league club, could see Deniliquin with two codes of rugby being played in town.
