Andrew started his apprenticeship with his father Alan Willis in Deniliquin in 1988.
Andrew’s son Tyson has now followed in his footsteps, thus creating a third-generation cabinet maker.
Now Andrew is partnering with two of his former apprentices - Baxter Lindeman and Beau Griffiths - to take the business into the future.
The two new part-owners are ecstatic, and the trio are willing to take the business forward – local blokes securing ownership of a long-standing local business where they started their trades seems only fitting.
Willis Cabinets’ three owners explained there will be technological advances in the way the business operates, but as always producing work of the highest quality will remain their focus.
“We’ve been wanting to expand, employ more people, offer more training for staff, and continue using local products where available and the most up to date technology and material,” Andrew said.
“And three heads are better than one.”
Continuing as Willis Cabinets, the trio of owners hope to evolve, grow and serve the community with the highest quality cabinet making, technology and service.
