The Deniliquin Ute Muster team is up for yet another national award after winning the Meetings & Events Australia NSW Regional Event Of The Year earlier this week.

It was awarded for the 2023 Deni Ute Muster, attended by more than 18,000 people from across Australia and the world and at which a new World Record Blue Singlet Count record of 4,367 was set.
They will now contest the national awards, held as part of the MEA two-day conference in the Hunter Valley next month.
General manager Vicki Lowry and Katie Taylor represented the Ute Muster team at the state awards.
Mrs Lowry said it was an honour to have won the award for a second year in a row.
“We also won the same award in 2019, before we were forced into a two year break because of the pandemic,” Mrs Lowry said.
“Last year we went on to also win the national award.
“The MC announcing our state award remembered us from last year, and said they were amazed at just how successful our event is.
“Feedback received was based on how the Muster triples our local population for a two day event, and on what it gives back to the local community and the wider region.
“The judges also look at accessibility and inclusivity, and we’ve done a lot of work in that regard since our 2018 study with more improvements to come.
“They also look at our planning processes, and at the event’s growth and overall success.”
Last year’s Deniliquin Ute Muster featured an all Aussie musical line-up and a monster around the grounds schedule.
In 2024, the Muster team has this year secured two American country music icons for the main stage - Kip Moore and Tyler Hubbard.
Other acts include Aussie chart topper Amy Shark, Brad Cox, Fanny Lumsden, Brooke McClymont & Adam Eckersley, Amber Lawrence, Sunny Cowgirls, Darlinghurst and 2024 Play On The Plains Battle Of The Bands winners Elestial.
