From Tuesday to Friday, students participated in each of the track and field events.
The week was highlighted by Charlie Bull breaking the senior boys long jump record, previously held by Harley Hicks (set in 2019). He added 12cm to the previous record, jumping 4.29m.
The event, organised by staff members Rachel Phillis-Campbell and Christie Gavel, was an excellent example of the sportsmanship and determination of the Deni North students.
It was also another display of just how well the students have been able to adapt in this far from normal school year.
Field events were completed over the four days, while the running events were held on the Friday morning and providing a carnival atmosphere on school grounds.
House updates were announced each morning, with Boyd leading the way for the field events, only to be overtaken by every house in the final tally of the running events.
Tyson finished on top with 290 points, second was Mackenzie on 269, Cobb was third on 263 and Boyd finished fourth on 253.
The school particularly thanks groundsman Dragos Marcu who toiled in the hot sun to prepare the grounds with limited resources and facilities.
