Muster boost for local charities, groups

As the dust settles on another Deni Ute Muster, the benefit for the region starts to be calculated.

Among the big winners out of the event are the charity and community organisation partners, who all reported a very supportive crowd.

As a beneficiary of the Tradie Challenge auction on Saturday, the Country Education Fund Edward River Region will receive a donation of almost $10,000.

Deniliquin Can Assist also did very well out of partnering with Whitey’s Ferret Racing again, although the amount raised has not yet been formally announced.

The Deniliquin Lawn Tennis Club worked extremely hard all weekend in their souvlaki stand to do a roaring trade - as always.

You can’t walk through the Ute Muster food court without seeing someone lined up for one of their mouthwatering souvlakis.

The total tally from their fundraiser is also still being collated.

Other sporting and community clubs who worked the gates, the bars and volunteered in other areas will also get a slice of the Deni Ute Muster proceeds over coming weeks.

And then there’s the snowball effect of having thousands of people come into and stay in the region over multiple days - everyone gets a slice of the action.
