The afternoon of fun will be sponsored by a Murrumbidgee Wellbeing and Resilience Grant which will finance all costs, including white tee shirts, colour powder and lunch on the day.
It will be the school’s third Colour Run, but the first to be experienced by the younger students.

Don’t forget the local Remembrance Day commemoration being held tomorrow.
The Soldiers Memorial Gardens on the corner of Livingstone and Lawrence Streets will be the venue for the ceremony which will get underway at 10.40am.
The welcome and opening address will be given by Mathoura RSL Sub Branch President John Petschauer, while Sub-Branch Treasurer Bronwyn Eddy will read the prayer.
Guest Speaker for the event will be Mr Bob Elworthy AM -President – Vietnam Veterans’ Association of Victoria.
Following his address relatives of the fallen, representatives of the RSL, the guest speaker, representatives of local organisations and individuals will be invited to lay wreaths at the cenotaph.
The commemoration will wrap up with the Ode and Last Post, followed by Reveille.

Don’t forget to get into pink next Saturday for Mathoura Gun Club’s Pink Shoot.
The charity event will raise funds for our local breast cancer charity – the Bra Fence.
Sponsored by the Community Bank, Tongala and Mathoura. The event will feature two 50 target events starting from 11am.
A barbecue lunch will be available and people are being urged to wear pink to show their support.

Mayhem in Mathoura – never let it be said!!
Well, maybe we will accept a fun one organized by the Mathoura Bowls Committee.
Planned for Saturday, November 18, the event promises a fun and interactive night of trivia, challenges, games and more with loads of prizes to be won.
Why not line up your friends and enter a team of up to six or join a team on the night. Entry fees will be $10 for adults and $5 for children under 16. Registration will be at 6.30pm with the fun starting at 7pm. Meals and drinks may be purchased at normal bistro prices but must be consumed before the fun gets underway.

Well, they’ve done it again! Organisers of Saturday’s Speed Shear competition gave visitors and locals alike the opportunity to see top shearers in action. The wool industry is one of Australia’s biggest and most important. Yet how many people, even those of us in the country have the opportunity to witness the skills these people display in deftly removing fleeces from sheep of all sizes.
In between the competitions visitors were able to check out a range of stalls , pick up a snack, a coffee or an ale.
The event also raised a good amount for the Bra Fence local cancer fund raiser

Christmas is coming and one of the great features it brings with it is the decorations residents put on their houses and in their gardens
To encourage even more residents to add Christmas cheer to their surroundings the Mathoura On The Map Committee will again conduct its Christmas Lights Competition.
The group will award $100 to the Best Decorated House and Garden and a similar prize for the Best Decorated Business.
Entries should be lodged with Eileen Day on 0427 843 526, phone or text by Wednesday, December 20 to allow time for judging and prize presentation before Christmas.
