The Labor candidate also stood for the seat, and the party, at the 2015 election.
At that election he polled 16.25 per cent of first preference votes.
The first election for the then newly formed seat of Murray, the election was won by Adrian Piccoli for the Nationals with 55.69 per cent of first preference votes.
Polling just higher than Mr Buljubasic was then independent challenger and now incumbent Member for Murray Helen Dalton.
Mrs Dalton held 18.01 per cent of first preference votes that year, and came back four years later to win the seat as a Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party candidate.
Mr Buljubasic is a father of two and has been living in Griffith since 1993.
He said one of his key platforms is bringing public service jobs to regional NSW, and especially Murray.
“A New South Wales Labor Government will ensure the state purchases of buses, trains and other public equipment will be done right here in New South Wales, rather than overseas,” he said.
“New South Wales Labor will be investing more in public education, health, and social services across rural and regional New South Wales.
“New South Wales Labor is the best option for people of Murray in delivering a range of policies for rural and regional New South Wales.

Mr Buljubasic said key policy points for Labor are:
• Stop all public assets privatization, including electricity grid in Murray.
• Double repairs budget for roads in rural and regional NSW.
• Provide an extra 500 paramedics for regions.
• Lifting pay caps for our teachers, nurses and medical staff.
• Labor will stop casualization of teachers and ensure 10.000 permanent positions across NSW, a policy which will benefit schools in Murray.
