Mathoura FC: Top eight hope

Consistency is going to be key for Mathoura tomorrow when they come up against another strong club in Waaia (ranked 4th in both competitions) with the club also looking to capitalise on a second consecutive week at their home ground as games continue to be hosted in NSW due to COVID restrictions.

Mathoura’s men have struggled to reach the golden ‘‘four-quarter performance’’ this season, but are a 4-3 side and still banked wins over Katamatite and Strathmerton.

The senior ladder is stacked at the moment, with the top five teams unable to be separated on points.

Mathoura will need to tighten up as they continue to welcome back talent through injury and pull back a couple of their early losses if they want to penetrate the top eight midseason rather than relying on late games to book finals.
