Team members will host a social evening at the Deniliquin Boat Club, on Friday, November 29.
All money raised by the cycle team will be used to purchase wish list items for the Deniliquin Health Service.
The boat club has been a staunch supporter of the ride and the local team, holding other fundraising events in the past and helping to raise money with the local team.
Last year’s social night at the Boat Club raised an amount exceeding $10,000.
Like last year, there will be live music, food trucks and raffles and the bar will be open.
The annual Murray to Moyne Cycle Relay was founded by Graham Woodrup in 1987.
It is a 520km 24-hour cycling relay event, and since its inception, participants have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Victorian and interstate health services.
Graham was a competitive cyclist from Port Fairy, Victoria, who had set records for the Trans-Australia ride from Perth to Sydney in 1988 and even a 24-hour tandem riding record.
He was tragically killed after being struck by a vehicle while riding with a group of other riders.
The Murray to Moyne now continues in his memory.
Deniliquin has had a team in the ride almost every year since it was established, and will again be taking part when the Echuca to Port Fairy ride is held in April.
