Just days after their Christmas display at 114 McCrabb Rd, Deniliquin was selected by the judges as Best Residential Display, the viewers have honoured them with the same title.
Earlier this week, they were named as the winners of the People’s Choice award.
More than 100m of lights, inflatables, a Santa’s grotto complete with Santa chair, and Christmas films on a projection screen were all offered as part of the display.
But the Grants also encouraged interaction, hosting a series of activities for families to enjoy.
This included decorating your own Christmas bauble, writing letters to Santa to be delivered by ‘elf mail’, creating reindeer food to leave out on Christmas Eve and even serving ‘edible snow’.
And in Santa’s grotto, you could get a free photo with Santa.
The Grants got into the spirit of it all, dressing up in Christmas costumes - as elves or as Mrs Clause - to add to the magic.
Other homes to receive a high number of votes included 268 River St, 470 Henry St and 365 Hay Rd.
Thanks to the Deniliquin Business Chamber, the Grants have won a $400 Why Leave Town Deni gift card.
This adds to their original $400 prize sponsored by Ray White Real Estate.
Everyone who voted in the People’s Choice also went in the running for a lucky entry prize draw, which was won by Sue Horneman.
She has won a Deni Ute Muster prize pack featuring a 2025 ticket, iconic blue singlet, and a stubby holder– all thanks to the generous support of the Deni Ute Muster.
The Deniliquin Business Chamber extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this year’s competition such a success.
“Thanks to the incredible individuals and businesses who adorned their homes and shopfronts with festive displays, creating a magical atmosphere for the community to enjoy,” it said.
“And to everyone who took the time to vote, bringing extra cheer by recognising the efforts of our decorators and our amazing sponsors, who made this event possible with their ongoing generosity.”
In addition to Ray White Deniliquin and the Deni Ute Muster, the competition was sponsored by Deniliquin Pastoral Times and Ace Radio/1521 2QN 102.5 Edge FM.
The two media outlets sponsored the Best Business Display prize, won by Body Harmony.
