I believe Edward River Council is in need of change.
In my role at Orana as an aged carer, I’ve learnt from those that built this community how I can best help. By putting my hand up for council to create change.
Like many of you, I’ve grown frustrated seeing the Edward River Community fall behind as our council continues to focus more on infighting, instead of fighting for our community.
If elected, I will work to build a council that focuses on the needs of our community and ratepayers, not on internal conflicts.
Transparency is key. We need to listen to our community, keep everyone informed about council decisions, and run our council like a business - putting an end to petty politics.
I’m committed to holding a referendum next election for our mayor to be elected by the people, not chosen by the council, to reduce division and bring about real leadership.
Over the past three years, I've worked across 10 different council areas and with the Office of Local Government.
My experience and understanding of state government grant processes means I’ll be able to fight to ensure the Edward River Community gets our fair share.
Wherever you live in the Edward River, I want to ensure our council is working for you.
We have a great lifestyle here, and I want to help build a future that keeps it that way while laying strong foundations for the next generation.
I would be honoured to earn your vote. Let’s work together to create a council we can all be proud of. Because let’s be Frank - it's time for change.
Yours etc.
