Deniliquin Business Chamber executive officer Donna Taylor said it is an encouraging start - and a good indication that local businesses are meeting the needs of the community - but said she’d like to see many more roll in before nominations close.
Nominations are accepted online, or by using the hard copy form which was inserted in Tuesday’s Pastoral Times.
“Those forms can be dropped off at the Deniliquin Pastoral Times, Deniliquin Nextra Newsagency or to the Visitor Information Centre, which is temporarily located in the former Conargo Shire building in End St,” Ms Taylor said.
“We would particularly encourage nominations in the Excellence in Business, Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion, Excellence in Innovation and Excellence in Sustainability categories.
“So far, they are the only categories we have not yet received nominations for.”
There are 14 award categories in 2022, as well as the coveted Business of the Year.
Of those, 12 are aligned with NSW Business Awards with winners automatically progressing to the Murray Riverina Business Awards.
If they win at the regional level, they go on to the state awards.

- Excellence in Innovation
- Excellence in Sustainability
- Outstanding Community Organisation
