From her four entries, Ms Bond claimed three first prize ribbons and one third.
It’s not a bad result considering she only learned of the exhibition recently.
Being involved in community-driven programs and groups is part of Ms Bond’s life.
She manages the Deniliquin Salvation Army Store, has been part of the Deniliquin patchwork group for the last two years, and, is an active member of the Echuca Murray Country Women’s Association branch.
She also had a long association with the Deniliquin Pastoral & Agricultural Society.
Now having spent at least 10 years as a part of the Country Women’s Association, Ms Bond has taken the steps to display at as many competitions as she can.
Being a keen fan of the arts and having knitted and quilted for more than 20 years, she decided to take a chance by entering the August competition.
“It (being part of the CWA) gives me something to do, as well as my interest in arts and craft and getting to do that,” she said.
“It’s where I am able to help out and be involved.
“I really enjoy being able to do that, and community-driven projects.”
