The all-new show, which kicked off at Barooga Recreation Reserve on Wednesday, August 21, has a completely new feel, according to Hudson’s Circus promotions and marketing manager Troy Smith.
“What you’re going to see there this time is the Gold Show,” he said.
“The only one element they have that is the same is the ‘globe of death’, that’s the only thing that’s the same as the last time the show was there.
“It’s an action packed, brand-new two-hour show.”
As well as the daring ‘globe of death’ motorcycle stunt, Hudson’s Circus includes acts with horses and camels, as well as some rare routines.
“It's probably one of the most unique circus shows at the moment. We have a sharpshooter in the show at the moment, which is very rarely seen in circus in Australia,” Mr Smith said.
“He shoots a bow and arrow across the ring into different apparatus, plastic balloons and all sorts of things. That for me is probably one of the most unique highlights we have in our show.
“(We also have) the animals this year, we have five horses instead of ponies, we have three camels, but the highlights for me in particular are the sharpshooters and our roller skaters from Africa.
“They’re from Ethiopia, they’re a roller-skating duo, and they are amazing, they’re dynamic.”
Hudson’s Circus will be in Cobram until Sunday, August 25, with shows on Thursday and Friday night, an afternoon and a night show on Saturday, and a mid-morning show on Sunday, before moving on to Deniliquin from August 28 to September 1, and Moama from September 5 to 15.
