How good is it to see Mathoura’s streets getting a top-up.
Although I must say things have been a bit boring in my area in comparison to the last time around.
We had a rather large Labrador which was mates with the neighbour’s small terrier, and while their size and appearance were different the pair enjoyed taking a stroll together each day.
The stroll took them up one side of the street to the corner, crossing over then back down the other side before strolling across the street and each going their own way home.
While smaller, the terrier on this occasion was smarter – going that bit further to the end where the bitumen had not been laid.
But not our Duke – this is where he crosses every day so why should he change today.
He got half way across the street before his paws became stuck and he couldn’t move.
And if you can’t move, you might as well sit down for a rest and that’s what he did!
As I recall it took council staff quite some time to remove him from the roadway but he never got caught again!
