The officers then engaged in a pursuit.
The stolen vehicle reached speeds of around 180km/ph as it headed towards Denlilquin.
Upon entering Deniliquin, officers terminated the pursuit due to safety concerns.
The driver of the stolen vehicle continued his attempt to flee from police, traveling at around 85km/ph down Macauley Street before colliding with a white Toyota Hilux.
The driver of the Hilux sustained only minor injuries, however was taken to Deniliquin Hospital as a precaution and has since been released.
Following the collision, the stolen vehicle crashed into the fence of a residence on the corner of Macauley St and Charlotte St, with the culprit fleeing the scene on foot.
A short time later, a man was found hiding from authorities in the backyard of Navorina Nursing Home.
Police claim the offender violently resisted arrest, allegedly assaulting two officers.
A taser was used to immobilise the man before Police could arrest him.
He has since been charged with ten offences and appeared in Albury Local Court on Wednesday where bail was refused.
