Katherine had recently relocated to the quaint town of Mathoura.
Since then, she has shopped at local store Lulu a number of times.
Her most recent trip to the store has resulted in her winning a $100 Deniliquin Business Chamber Why Leave Town Deni gift card to spend locally at participating businesses.
Katherine was happy to have won and extremely pleased that it came as a result of shopping locally.
“We have to support these brick and mortar businesses in the community,” she said.
“Jenny and her team are just so lovely.
“The service is what made me come back” Katherine said.
As an example of that amazing service, Katherine recounted when Jenny insisted on taking the lower price on a mispriced item.
That show of good faith eventually brought Katherine back to the store, showing that interactions with customers matter.
Jenny said any initiative that encourages people to choose local businesses should be supported.
“I love this initiative, I think it's just fantastic,” Jenny said.
“I have made sure to let everyone know about the tickets and to fill them out when they earn them.
“Just giving that added incentive to shop locally is lovely.”
When asked how she might spend her shopping voucher, Katherine was adamant.
“It will be spent here at Lulu I suspect, I love the shop” she said.
There is one more $100 Why Leave Town Deni gift card to be won this Friday before our three major prize draws on December 20.
Those final draws will be valued at $500, $1500 and $3000.
To be in the running, all you have to do is shop at a local participating store.
A ticket is earned for every $20 spent, up to 10 tickets in any one transaction.
Return your completed tickets to the entry box at the business, or to the barrel at the Deniliquin Pastoral Times office in Cressy St.
All undrawn tickets remain in the barrel for the life of the promotion.
The Golden Bunny Bonanza is a Deniliquin Pastoral Times initiative, supported by the Deniliquin Business Chamber and other local businesses.
