Kyabram's churches are uniting for the annual Good Friday in the Park event in the memorial gardens, featuring a unique artistic element.
Kyabram P-12 chaplain Liz Spicer said the churches thought they would “bring something different” to the usual Good Friday service.
During the service, starting from 10am, Kyabram P-12 chaplain David Czech will create a live mural.
“It’s a bit different to what we usually do... but come out and see what the mural is,” Mrs Spicer said.
What’s not different is the hot cross buns which will be on offer for attendees who make it to the park bright and early on the public holiday.
Community Church senior pastor David Lloyd said the occasion was a “lovely opportunity“ for the churches to join forces for something they all have in common.
“It’s probably the most important day on all of our calendars. It will be a lovely opportunity to get together and be together,” Mr Lloyd said.
Mrs Spicer said to bring a chair to make sure you have a comfy seat throughout the service.
The Good Friday in the Park is the first service of many across the weekend held by churches in Kyabram.
