Many of us don’t really seem to enjoy the rigours of winter living, but we are also reminded that summer can be just as uncomfortable for equally as many people.
Fortunately, most of us seem to have a happy medium with the in-between seasons where we can enjoy comfortable living.
While we may have long been used to the regular pattern of repeated seasons, we don’t always see the significance of that pattern on most living things around us.
Most plant life on Earth depends on the seasons to regulate its own pattern of reproduction, seed and fruit production and general life cycle.
Animal life also depends on the seasons for reproduction, and healthy productivity.
Within the seasons, changes in the weather also has a huge affect on individual species.
At the peak of all these happenings are ourselves, human beings, who make use of all those things surrounding us for our survival.
Even without getting into the finer details, that makes quite a complex picture, and yet, many people are prepared to accept that it has all come about by accident or chance.
The book of Genesis in the Bible gives God’s explanation for His “creation” of all things which exist, with us as humans being at the very peak of His Creation.
From there, God goes on to explain His loving and caring purpose for His Creation, and in particular, for us.
God’s explanation makes much more sense to me than just “chance”.
