Emergency services have confirmed the home, which is set back from the road behind another building, is currently vacant.
Deniliquin Fire + Rescue NSW Deputy Captain Les Booth said firefighters were called to the blaze just after 10.30am.
By the time they arrived, the flames could already be seen coming out of the roof.
“We initiated fire attack with breathing apparatus, with assistance from Finley’s Fire + Rescue and the Rural Fire Service.
“Mulwala Fire + Rescue also came over to Deniliquin, and manned the station while we were fighting the fire.
“Police and ambulance paramedics were also on scene.”
Emergency services remained on site for several hours, with Deni firefighters officially leaving the Deni fire station at about 3.30pm.
Neither firefighters or the Murray River Police District have been able to shed light on the cause of the fire.
Acting Inspector Sarah Lugsdin acknowledged anxiety in the community due to the number of fires, but reminded people that these investigations do take time.
She said when fire is involved, investigations can take longer because of the damage caused by the flames.
Official causes for the previous house fires in Burton St and Edwardes St are also yet to be determined.
Police Detective Inspector Jy Brown previously told the Pastoral Times the Burton St fire was not being treated as suspicious.
But police have said the Edwardes St fires were.
Anyone with information about any of the fires is asked to contact police on 5881 9299 or CrimeStoppers on 1300 333 000.
