Even with their home ground at Memorial Park flooded, some of the Deniliquin Rovers Football Club teams have started pre-season training.

The club has been allowed use of the Rams’ turf at Hardinge St Oval, the Edward Public School grounds and Rotary Park to work on fitness and skills ahead of the 2023 season.
Already pulling on the boots for training are the seniors and the thirds.
While a November start is not unusual for the seniors players, the thirds have made an early start this year.
This was on the demand of the players, who made specific requests to coach Chris Maher.
