He also scored highly in all other subjects.
‘‘Fletcher is a particularly bright, capable and competitive student with a broad general knowledge,’’ the school said.
‘‘He applies himself to all he does and is a worthy winner of this award.’’
Fletcher was one of several students to receive academic awards as part of the annual presentation ceremony, with class awards and sports awards also presented.
A new award presented as part of the ceremony this year was the Marg Fisher Environment Award.
The inaugural award is donated by Deniliquin North Public School, in recognition of the tremendous contribution made to Deni North by Marg Fisher.
