The pilot project, announced late last year, is designed to foster collaboration, innovation and shared learning among irrigators in the Murray Irrigation footprint.
The tour is planned to take place on Thursday, February 13, and will include visits to two local farms.
Expressions of interest are now open and will close at midnight on Sunday, January 19.
“We encourage irrigators who are keen to expand and share their knowledge in irrigation, farm layouts, innovation and farming practices to fill out the EOI,” A Murray Irrigation spokesperson said.
Once the EOI period has ended, interested parties will be contacted to confirm attendance.
Confirmed attendees will then be provided with further information on times, locations and an agenda for the day.
“The purpose of the Irrigation Innovation Farm Tour is to create a platform where like-minded irrigating farmers can network and share knowledge and insights from across the footprint, ask questions and expand their knowledge on farm layouts, innovation, infrastructure, water use and more,” the spokesperson said.
“We thank local irrigators for bringing forward ideas to assist us with the planning of this inaugural tour, and hope this marks the beginning of a long-lasting educational initiative for Murray Irrigation customers.”
