But on hot days when you’d rather be in the airconditioning, you don’t have to be stuck at home, in your hotel or at the campsite.
Deni is home to a number of great museums.
The big ones, of course, include The Depot Historic Vehicle and Memorabilia Collection in Hardinge St which concentrates on life on and off the road, and the Deni Ute Muster Museum at the Muster site on Conargo Rd.
Others to explore include local history museums at the Peppin Heritage Centre and Visitor Information Centre in George St, Deniliquin and the Deniliquin & District Historical Society Museum in Macauley St, Deniliquin.
A small museum is also located inside the passenger terminal at Deniliquin Airport, and concentrates on Deniliquin’s role in training pilots for World War II.
