“The angel said to the women, 'Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay’.” (Matthew 28:5-6 NIV).
This Sunday coming, the church will gather to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus over 2000 years ago.
Jesus established His kingdom on Earth when he rose from the grave and defeated death.
He was raised from death to life.
Resurrection Sunday marks the beginning of a new era.
Now because of what Jesus did on the cross, Christians can be added to the church daily.
The moment a Christian comes to faith that same resurrection power that raised Jesus from the grave is available to them to raise them up with Him.
The moment they are born again they become citizens of His Kingdom here on Earth. They are raised from spiritual death to life.
Every day has now become Resurrection Sunday.
That same resurrection power is available to anyone who calls on the name of the Lord.
My prayer for this Easter weekend is that many will put their trust in Jesus and will be raised up to new life in Christ.
