The Cocktails by the Lake event, which will be held this Saturday, January 18 at the Yarrawonga Yacht Club from 7pm to 11pm, is part of the Community Heart Appeal, a fundraising initiative for Yarrawonga Health aimed at purchasing essential equipment for the new theatre build.
This glamorous event will feature a sophisticated atmosphere, offering attendees the chance to enjoy cocktails, delicious canapés, live entertainment and raffles, designed to bring the community together in support of this critical cause.
Yarrawonga Health Workplace Health and Safety Officer Rebecca Coll said the event was a creative way to appeal to a wide audience with funds raised through ticket sales going directly towards purchasing specialised equipment for the new theatre at Yarrawonga Health.
“The Community Heart Appeal has been a vital part of Yarrawonga Health’s fundraising initiatives since mid-2024 and has mobilised schools, community groups, individuals, and businesses to raise nearly $150,000 so far,” Ms Coll said.
“This highlights its strong community backing and long-term impact on improving healthcare services in the region.
“Funds raised through ticket sales will go directly towards purchasing specialised equipment, ensuring that the facility is equipped to deliver high-quality, modern healthcare services to the community.
“The build itself is already funded, so every dollar raised contributes specifically to enhancing the operational capabilities of the theatre.
“The idea for a cocktail event emerged as a creative and appealing way to engage a wide audience, including local businesses and individuals who appreciate a social and elegant setting.
“While Yarrawonga Health has hosted various fundraisers in the past, the cocktail event is a unique addition to diversify fundraising efforts and attract a broader demographic.”
Tickets can be purchased through ‘Trybooking’ by searching ‘cocktails by the lake Yarrawonga’ for $70 per person.
Each ticket includes one complimentary welcome cocktail provided by local business Jaycee’s, gourmet canapes prepared by Cook & Co as well as live entertainment and access to stunning lakeside views.
Guests will also enjoy the chance to win a lucky door prize, take part in a fun golf competition and participating in giveaways and raffles throughout the night.
Additional drinks will also be available for purchase at bar prices.
