All this week, you will receive two entry tickets for every $20 spent at a participating local business - up to a maximum of 20 in one transaction.
Tickets must be returned to the entry box at local businesses by 2pm Friday to be in the running.
Any tickets entered after that time can be placed directly in the entry barrel.
It is currently located in the Deniliquin Pastoral Times office, and will be moved to the Deniliquin Waring Gardens for the final draws to take place as part of the Edward River Council Community Christmas Party on Friday evening.
Coordinated by the Pastoral Times with support from Deniliquin Business Chamber and other business, the Golden Bunny Bonanza’s aim is to encourage people to shop locally at Christmas.
Pastoral Times general manager Leesa Muir said 70,000 tickets have been delivered to participating local businesses since the start of the promotion six weeks ago, with most already in the entry barrel.
“If all the tickets in circulation are given out and entered into the draw by this Friday, that will mean there is $1.4 million in spending circulating in our community.
“We encourage our community, and our visitors, to keep shopping.
“This not only increases your chances of winning, but also injects cash into our local economy.
“Any support for our businesses keeps our business community vibrant, and allows those businesses to employ local people and support local groups, charities and initiatives.
“When you are getting those last minute Christmas gifts, shopping for the Christmas feast or just buying something for yourself, make sure to collect your tickets and enter then for your chance to win.”
Thanks to a bonus draw held last week, the total Golden Bunny Bonanza prize pool increased to $5600.
The final draws this Friday will see a combined $5000 in Deniliquin Business Chamber Why Leave Town Deni gift cards given away.
One is worth $500, one $1500 and the main prize is $3000.
All tickets remain in the barrel until the last draw, excluding those already plucked as winners.
