This is always a popular event, played as a four-person ambrose with excellent prizes.
Cost is $30 per player which includes a barbecue lunch, and it is an 11am assembly for 11.30am shotgun start. Register a team at the pro shop or book online.
Also coming up is a stroke event and the monthly medals tomorrow, ladies nine holes on Tuesday, then stableford events next Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Last Thursday the ladies played stableford, won by Jen Choice with 38 points from runner-up Vicki Seely 36.
Saturday was also stableford, with four grades. A-grade winner was Digger Ring with 35 points on countback to Peter Joice; B grade Magnus Aitken 40 from runner-up Darren Mitchell 36; C grade Shandra Simpson 38 from runner-up Sarah Lugsdin 37; and D grade Annette Danckert 39 on countback to runner-up Ross Burnham.
Our club hosted the regional finals of the Keno two-person ambrose competitions on Sunday. Congratulations to Carol Hardman and Pauline Davis who won the ladies’ division with net 63.5 to qualify for the final at Bonville Golf Resort, Coffs Harbour, from Sunday November 26 to Wednesday November 29.
On Wednesday the A grade stableford winner was Jeremy McMahon with 40 points from runner-up Ross Pogonoski 37, and in B grade George Maddison had 38 points from runner-up Geoff ‘Zorro’ Bessell on 37.
Finally, don’t forget Friday Night Fun, which is on tonight. If you are in Summer Sixers, why not enjoy a quick nine holes of golf, followed by some refreshments and perhaps a meal in the clubhouse.
