In their final game of the season, the under-15 Deniliquin Rhinos came up against a solid second-placed Nathalia under-15s team.

Charlie McCallum got the game off to a great start and won the toss. He elected to bat first.
Hamish Baker and Daniel Burn opened the batting, and Hamish was off the mark with a glorious pull shot that went for four.
Daniel and Hamish put together seven runs for the opening partnership before Hamish was unluckily dismissed caught behind.
This saw Daniel and Charlie come together; Charlie was off the mark with an elegant backfoot drive.
Early wickets put the Rhinos on the back foot, but then there was a vital partnership of 14 runs between Fletcher Campion and Tynen Rothe.
This built momentum and the score progressed nicely.
Tynen and Stuart Benger came together to put on a crucial partnership of 32 runs.
Tynen played an outstanding innings that showcased his sheer tenacity, determination and fight to keep scoring. He retired on 25.
Stuart also played an excellent anchor role and support, adding 10 runs to the total.
Rhinos finished on 6/62 after 25 overs.
Den knew early wickets and built-up pressure would be vital to staying in the contest.
Charlie and Hamish’s opening bowling partnership was superb, and Charlie got the critical wicket of Nathalia’s Zander Quinn, bowled with a perfect out-swinging delivery.
Stuart managed to get the next breakthrough, which saw Nathalia on 2/13.
The Rhinos were right in the game as Fletcher and Stuart continued a tight spell of bowling.
The introduction of spin duo Tom Marshall and Daniel Burn was electrifying, with plenty of moments of brilliance.
Before we knew it, the young Rhinos were closing in on more wicket-taking chances.
Red Ricon, Chance Bennett and Jacob Holschier were fantastic, bowling full and straight and limiting Nathalia’s scoring opportunities.
Harley Benger picked up a vital wicket that went straight through ‘the gate’ of Barker for Nathalia.
In a tremendous brotherly double act, Stuart would come back on and collect two more wickets, ripping through Nathalia’s middle order, and we can’t forget Jaxon Rothe’s screamer of a catch.
It was an incredible effort and great for our photos to showcase it all.
Although the Rhinos didn’t come away with the win on Saturday, it was a great match full of memorable moments to finish a fantastic season.
We would like to thank all our families who came down and supported our boys throughout the season- it was greatly appreciated.
You guys are the most significant driving factor of our junior Rhinos.

The Deniliquin Rhinos under-15 team now looks forward to the Murray Valley Junior Cricket presentation night on Wednesday, February 28, in Tocumwal, and the Deniliquin Rhinos presentation night on Friday, March 15 at the Deniliquin RSL Bowls Club from 6pm.
All families and supporters are welcome to join the players to celebrate the end of another excellent cricket season.

The under-13 Rhinos cricket team hosted Nathalia at Memorial Park in Deniliquin Friday last week.
Families and supporters set up gazebos and eskies on the oval for a beautiful evening and settled in for a rare home game.
Nathalia batted first, and the Rhinos’ opening bowlers struck early.
Ned Wettenhall hit the stumps of one of Nathalia’s openers after just seven runs had been scored.
However, Nathalia recovered, and their batters settled into their innings, with the next two batters retiring not out.
The Rhinos’ bowling attack was disciplined and accurate, and Nathalia found it particularly hard to score off Red Ricon, Jacob Holschier and Daniel Burn.
All dismissals were the ball hitting the stumps, happening six times throughout Nathalia’s innings.
Exciting highlights for the Rhinos were George Bull’s outstanding bowling spell of three overs for just five runs, including his first maiden over for the season.
Ollie Bull snagged three dismissals, nearly securing the first hattrick of the Rhinos season.
His figures were 3/3 after two overs.
Nathalia finished their innings after 20 overs with just 52 runs.
Hunter Campbell and Daniel Burn started the Rhino’s innings well, both retiring not out.
Eight batsmen remained not out at the end of the match, in a first for the Rhinos.
Many players achieved season batting milestones.
Boundaries were hit by Daniel Burn (5), Ollie Bull (1), Ned Wettenhall (1), Jacob Holschier (4), Tom Marshall (2), Jake Wharton (1) and Henry Pisasale (2).
Tom Marshall hit the Rhinos only six of the match, which sent the supporters into loud applause.
The Rhinos’ running between the wickets showed significant improvement, with George Marshall and Daniel Burn’s partnership showcasing excellent running and communication skills.
George Bull had his best batting performance, rounding off a fantastic game.
Ollie Bull, Jacob Holschier, George Marshall, Tom Marshall, Henry Pisasale and Jake Wharton all passed their previous highest batting scores.
The Rhinos finished the game with a score of 3/152 - an incredible victory with a margin of 100 runs. It was their biggest win of the season.
The Wired Coach’s award went to George Bull for his impressive improvement with the bat and ball.
The under-13s play their final game of the season against Cobram tonight from 5pm at Deniliquin Memorial Park.
