In light of a difficult start to the term for Deniliquin Edward Public School, Deni High School teacher Donna Van Leishout wanted to do something small to show their support.

The kind gesture came in the form of a barbecue lunch for Edward School, donated on behalf of the High School and cooked by staff and students from the COGS leadership group.
This act of kindness brightened the day for all in attendance and showed a little kindness can go a long way.
Special Baby Bounce, Storytime sessions
Deniliquin’s Edward River Library will be holding special Baby Bounce and Storytime sessions next week as part of Speech Pathology Week.
Deniliquin speech pathologists will be in attendance for a short talk and Q and A session about speech and language development.
Baby Bounce will be held Tuesday from 11am.
Storytime is Wednesday, also from 11am.
Daffodil Day fundraiser
Love morning tea and giving to a good cause? You’’ll be sorted next week.
To assist in raising money for the Cancer Council, My Shop owner, Denise Phillips will be hosting her annual Daffodil Day morning tea.
It will take place in front of her shop next Thursday, August 25.
Blighty PS on tour
Blighty Public School students went on a mini excursion last week to Deniliquin for the Elders Riverina Sheep Expo.
Principal Leanne Hedt said the youngsters had a fabulous morning.
“We enjoyed a blade shearing display by Tom and had lots of questions for the presenters as they showed us a top class Merino,” she said.
