It was not just the academic achievements of Deni High students celebrated at the end of the 2023 school year.

A number of students were also congratulated for their artistic and sporting endeavours.
Among the prizes awarded at Deni High’s presentation night was the Visual Art Scholarship, donated by Bonnie Clapham.
It recognises the achievement of a Year 12 art student who is looking to undertake further study in the arts, and was presented to Lily Dawson.
In other special presentations, the Australian Defence Force Leadership and Teamwork Awards was presented to Grace Ball (Year 10) and Elena Mulham (Year 12).
The Australian Defence Force Future Innovators Awards were presented to David Ingram (Year 10) and Connor Clayton (Year 12).
The Director’s Award - for a student who has demonstrated personal growth as a young leader - was awarded to Erica Hayes.
The 2022 Gillespie Award (Dux) was also formally presented to Samantha Hughes for her efforts in the HSC the previous year.
Five graduating Year 12 students also received special awards for having received a gold awards at every formal assembly during their time at Deniliquin High School - Remy Cathcart, Matilda Glowrey, Annie Harvey, Marisa Hovenden and Elena Mulham.
