A year’s worth of planning will come to fruition on Sunday, September 4, when the showgrounds really come to life with activities and events for patrons of all ages.
It will be the first full Finley Show since 2019, with COVID-19 forcing the event to go online only in 2020 and to host a scaled back, pavilion-only show in 2021.
The committee aims to bring back the traditional feel of a country show.
Horse events will be back in full swing, as well as livestock showing.
The pavilion will be packed full of art and baking skills from local residents, all in the hopes of taking out a first place ribbon.
Entertainment will be available on the day, with an animal nursery and grand parade already confirmed.
Ray Macartney will be performing, providing background music for the day.
More around the grounds entertainment will be confirmed over the next two weeks.
Admission to the show is $15 for adults, $10 for aged pensioners, and $5 for children ages 6-17. Children under six get in free with an appropriate guardian. Family tickets are also available.
