In the Greater Murray ward, Kylie Berryman, Geoff Wise and Joy Allan have been elected.
Ms Berryman and Mr Wise reached the progressive quotas early in the piece, with Mrs Allan achieving this after the distribution of preferences on Monday, September 30.
For Moama, Gen Campbell, John Harvie and Bianca Hurn have been elected.
While the trio led during the vote counting, none reached the progressive quota during the counting of first preferences.
In the Wakool ward, Dennis Gleeson, Neil Gorey and Gary Pappin were elected unopposed at the close of nominations.
Mr Gleeson, Mr Gorey and Mr Wise retain their positions on council, Gen Campbell has returned after a stint out of council, and the remaining five councillors are new to the role with Murray River.
Mr Harvie does have experience as a councillor however, having previously served on Deniliquin Council.
Mr Harvie was also an employee of both Deniliquin Council and Murray River Council.
The first meeting for the new councillor group will take place at 1pm on Tuesday, at the Murray River Council Moama administration offices.
