For example, music volunteers support Yarrawonga Health by creating a warm and inviting environment to enhance our residents experience. This may include:
-Playing Music
-Singing
-Dancing.
Volunteers and staff love seeing the joy this brings to the residents.
Pictured is our volunteer Bradley Bellott, singing and playing the piano with the residents, his smile says it all.
You too can share this fulfilling experience, go the www.yh.org.au/volunteering for more information.
Big freeze in Lake Mulwala
Yarrawonga Cold Water Dippers recently celebrated their first dip of Winter at the Yarrawonga Square at Lake Mulwala.
The water level was rather low, but the willingness of this group was very high.
This local group was formed by Brenda Spilva in December last year. Since the establishment of the group a number of locals have become regulars and visitors have joined in from time to time.
Apart from cold dipping having a great number of health benefits, all the dippers enjoy the social aspect of the group.
At the moment the dippers meet at 6:30am weekdays and 7:30am on weekends.
If anyone interested in being a part of this group you can look them up on Facebook under ‘Yarrawonga Cold Water Dippers’.
