Members of the community are invited to attend the event at the Cobram Civic Centre on Thursday, May 1.
A panel consisting of members of Victoria Police will take questions from the audience.
The three-hour forum will allow the community to hear police officers discuss subjects such crime trends and crime prevention, family violence and drugs and drug-related crime.
“It’s for the local community to have their say, if anything is worrying them, and for them to get an update on crime prevention and what they can do to help,” Cobram Police Station Acting Senior Sergeant John Brunskill said.
The forum will also enable community members to ask questions about subjects such as calls for a 24-hour police station in the area.
“We want to give [the community] the opportunity to have it here in Cobram, rather than make them travel to Wangaratta,” Sen Sgt Brunskill said.
