The Deniliquin Bush Poets have been performing at the event since year one, and had been the opening act for the weekend’s day stage for almost as long.
A group of about 15 poets will grace the stage this year.
Over both days, they will perform several original pieces of poetry and song.
“Combining traditional music, poetry and humour, the Deni Bush Poet sessions are a must-see,“ group president Alex Allitt said.
“The poets have been getting some earnest practice leading up to the big event.”
As part of his own preparation, Mr Allitt recently participated in the Royal Queensland Show Bush Poetry competition.
Allitt’s beautiful performance of original poetry earned him first place for the event.
The same poems that won Allitt first place will be performed at this year’s Ute Muster.
Work penned by other members will also be included.
