When the YMAA committee look at the quality and diversity of the entries, President John Proudlock is sure all will agree and applaud all of the art pieces on display.
The internet tells that art is a combination of 75% imagination and 25% skill and whilst John is not sure of that analogy, he can see the wonderful imagination and high skill levels demonstrated by these children and young adults.
Congratulations and well done to all participants. The art association are sure the judges mulled over and had sleepless nights trying to select the best pieces and the worthy winners of this competition.
First in the age group, 6 – 9 years - Lizzie Thomas, winning a Yarrawonga Newsagency gift voucher of $100.
With two Highly Commendable certificate’s awarded to Harriet Alexander and Olive Kelly
First in the age group,10 – 13 years - Micah Shaw, winning a Border Art Supplies gift voucher for $200.
With two Highly Commendable certificate’s awarded to Chloe Lindsay and Briella Lindsay.
First in the age group, 14 – 18 - Penny Whiteley, winning an Art Partners voucher of $250.

However, the judges are not the only people to have a say in this competition. The public now have an opportunity to vote on their favourite over the next two weeks here in the gallery.
The winner of the people’s choice, a voucher for $250 from Carlie Arts, will be notified no later than April 22.
All these beautiful entries will be on show from Saturday, April 1 until Saturday, April 15.
Opening hours are 10am until 4pm. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
